Parade Carnival (1)

The community really threw themselves at the new idea of a post-parade celebration with over 9000 Parade volunteers, Parade participants and their party-seeking friends generating a true community atmosphere at the inaugural Parade Carnival!

For one night only, the Byron Kennedy Hall into the Disco Dome with DJs Luke Leal, Alan T and Justin Scott carving up the decks. The Forum Funhouse flaunted Francisco Guerra all the way from San Francisco, Shigeki and Beatrix with their happy house tunes, while the parade buzz continued in the Show Ring with an abundance of food and live entertainment till 6am!

And the best bit about it was – it was FREE!!

Parade participation got you in for free and if you weren’t game enough to strut your stuff down Oxford Street, you only needed to offer a helping hand as a volunteer or a Mardi Gras member for unique access to the exclusive Parade After Party!

Sometimes the best things in life sure are free!
